2. Data we collect

We collect the following personal data:

Account details: name and email address, provided when registering or signing in with Google.

Location: we request access to your GPS location to show you your position on the Camino map and detect the closest stage. Location is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.

Photos: you can upload profile photos and photos of the Camino. These images are stored on Cloudinary, a secure image management service.

Chat: Multilingual chat messages are stored in our database to allow communication between pilgrims and hospitaleros.

3. Purpose of the treatment

We use your data exclusively to:

Manage your account and session in the application.

Show you your position on the Camino map.

Allow communication in multilingual chat.

Show your profile photo in the community.

4. Data sharing with third parties

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We use the following technical services:

Supabase: database and authentication, hosted in the European Union.

Cloudinary – Image storage.

Mapbox: map rendering. Your location is processed locally on the device.

Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication according to its own privacy policy.

5. Data retention

We retain your data as long as you maintain an active account. You can request the deletion of your account and all your data at any time by writing to hola@caminosantiago.app.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, limit and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to us at hola@caminosantiago.app.

7. Minors

This application is suitable for all audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age without parental consent.
